About us

Our History

YETZ was founded by Tendai Manyeza and Rolland Mazengura in 2016 and later joined by Fungai Nhaitai. These individuals experienced difficulties in sourcing funds for starting their businesses. Focus was then channeled towards providing a solution for young adults facing similar challenges. Hence their focus shifted from individualism to collectivism. Therefore, the passion in seeing youth thrive in business emerged, and they saw themselves being driven by this initiative.

What we do

Investing in potential

Young Entrepreneurs Trust Zimbabwe (YETZ) is a Non-Governmental Organization aiming at funnelling entrepreneurial passion into youths and women by providing a platform where they can gain skills in pursuing economic productivity, business leadership and policy engagement, with environmental and social impact as core guidelines whilst allowing them to fulfil their dreams. Through promoting entrepreneurship and information dissemination to youths and women, we inspire youths to achieve more than they think is possible, as they gain the practical experience necessary to apply it in real life business situations.

Our Action Plan

We are dedicated to creating a conducive environmentally eco-friendly business space with businesses that promote management and governance of natural resources for a sustainable future. All this is made possible by creating a tripartite-dialogue mapping how the government, learning institutions (lecturers and students) and the private sector can work together in promoting youth economic empowerment. Since youths in Africa compromise of more than 60% of the population, they should be involved in policy making as they are the future that will be greatly affected by the policies implemented today.

All parts of society have a role to play in fostering youth entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability and promoting healthy families: This action plan outlines the responsibilities of each, with targeted recommendations. By working together, stakeholders can seize the opportunities that young people themselves say their hopes and desires represent. Acting in concert to help them achieve their goals, will in turn create a more vibrant and prosperous Africa.
